I used Universal-sim for my 3G and it worked fine, even with 2.2 without updating the baseband.

I just got a brand new 3G which has 2.2 pre-loaded and wanted to know the best way to go about getting it unlocked...? Universal-Sim probably won't work, so which one will...?

Thanks!

interesting that the new ones are not on 2.2. If you got it with 2.2 theh the baseband probably is what relates to the current 2.2 itself. I don't think the 2.2 baseband is unlockable yet and there is no known baseband downgrade.

Try returning your phone and probably the new unit will be on 2.1

Rebelsimcard.Com

rebelsimcard.com released a sim card that can be used with 2.2.
Dont forget to get the adapter so you can update your card firmware.
