hi guys, i have a question regarding the yellow screen issue. i've just ordered a 2.2 glossy with 7200 hd upgrade, but im worried that nearly everyone on here that has a 2.2 glossy seems to end up with a samsung pannel that has the yellow bottom 3rd of screen problem.

is there anyone out there with this spec that has an LG? or is there anyone out there that has an ok screen with this spec regardless of the pannel used?

thanks in advance.

matt

I've got a 2.2 glossy with LG screen, build week 33.

No yellowing, so there are definitely ones out there without the problem.

However, mine started having issues going to sleep, so might still have to get it looked at, hope i can get it solved. Wouldnt want to have to return it and get one with a yellowing screen back :(

I have the 2.2 glossy too samsung screen week 33, just read up on all this yellow business and it seems fine to me!

I've had two glossy LG screens and one glossy Samsung screen (which had the problem). Maybe you'll get lucky.

I've already tried going through those 14 pages, none of them give a good explanation of it. It's not under "Displays" in System Profile...I don't know where else to look...

This is all I get...
You obviously didn't read the very first post:

"found by System Preferences>Displays>click on the "Color" tab>Click "Open Profile">go to number 13. If you see 9C67 the manufacture is LG, 9C68 is is LG ... or do you see something else?"

There ya' go. :)

Perfect! Thanks, I have a 9C67 = LG screen, Week 35, and it's perfect :D

I received mine at the end of August and also have the LG screen, it is perfect.

thanks for the replys guys, i guess i'll just have to hope and pray i get a good un. although i have a feeling im not going too........

Samsung WILL get it right, hopefully soon.

Thought so.

Maybe Samsung ought to stick to memory. :(

Samsung's DLP HDTVs are some of the absolute best on the market, so surely they will get this division up to par ASAP.

I have owned several GREAT Samsung products (50" DLP HDTV, and all cell phones I've owned have been Samsung) So it disappoints me that they are dissappointing customers in this area.

I just purchased a 2.2 15" SR with Glossy screen and the display is PERFECT, so when I went to see which model display I had, I was hoping it was a Samsung, but it turned out to be the 9C68 LG model.

C'mon Samsung, lets get this product up to par with your other great products!!

BTW, How do I know what week my MBP falls Under?

I believe 9C68 is the Samsung model, so congrats. :)
