I'm away from my home computer. Can I use another computer to update to 2.2 without messing up my apps and music?

Shouldn't be a problem provided you disable all Sync options in iTunes on your "away from home" computer. But if in doubt, don't.

Well, it worked fine for the most part. On my iPhone it worked just like you said and on my Touch it worked at first then when I went to update my apps it worked for half of them but the final two it switched to the iTunes ID of the computer I was on. A reset of the phone and now it is back to normal except I just can't stand the fact that I can't play my white noise apps with the screen turned off.
