First hand accounts also indicate 2 slots internally, contrasting the present 3 slot configuration.

I must have a special edition Mac Pro with 4 slots.

There is a high probability the new Mac Pro will be much smaller and rackmount capable (best guess image the left).

First of all, that picture shows no clue of being rack mount. Secondly, it looks like they ripped off this picture from 2008 and simply photoshopped out the optical drive.

They have looked at the tech specs page which says 3 PCI-E slots as apple don't count the one populated with the graphics card.

So another site that is quoting this site as fact, when it all it is nothing but speculation and guess work.

The bit about April updates is the best.

I really don't care too much what it looks like - same size or smaller than my current 2008 3,1. What I do care about is what's inside. The usual suspects: USB3, SATA III, TB, a couple of slots for video and ESATA, lots of room for multiple drives, DVD (maybe, I guess I could live without it).
