2 3 week shipping on iPads online in Apple store UK

Went to buy a iPad for a client and shipping for all colours of 32gb wifi only ipad is listed as 2 3 weeks??
Any reason for this?

Pro models are showing a shorter lead time for me, only the Air 2 is showing as 2-3 weeks for dispatch.

I didn't check the Pros as we don't need one, I found it odd that the Air 2 has such a long lead, normally Apple doesn't have supply issues this late in a product's cycle, unless of course they slowed up production as a new one is coming out?

If the rumours of an entry level 9.7" Pro are true then the Air 2 is likely to be discontinued which may explain it.

If you need a iPad Air 2 I would check on Swappa and you can get a sweet deal on one and save tones of money from buying right from apple. I would all so check the eBay UK store for good deals but be careful
