2.4ghz iMac - Does it matter the chip config for RAM? 256x64 vs 128x8

Crucial's memory program says I need this

200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-6400 256Meg x 64


is the 256x64 important for it to work on a mac? For the windows machines to the best of my knowledge it makes no difference what so ever.

Do I need to be concerned about the 256x64?

128x8 seems to be another popular memory configuration.

I'm looking at getting 2 2GB sticks to fill it up at 4GB.

I ordered exactly what Crucial's website said I needed and found it for only 23 dollars for a stick of 2GB RAM!

Either 4 or 8 memory chip configuration. Most of the densities will work so far.

Right now the Mac with the biggest problem with current memory technology, are the older Macs with the 100MHz FSB that used PC-100 memory (or the same ones respeced by Apple to PC-133.)
