I have been looking for a SSD/HDD mounting bracket kit that was more 'realistically' priced than the SONNET J3i ($200) or Promise J2i ($400), or even the ~$100 carbon fiber bracket.

Just saw this on Amazon for $15. Great price for a piece of metal and also includes the cables. This design is brilliant, since it is also compatible with standard PC mounting, therefore they can sell in larger volumes to reduce the cost unlike the Mac Pro specific versions.

4wd,

Looks good if you're going for SSDs or 2.5" HDDs. I have the Promise and use 3.5" drives. Just a matter of what you'd like to do!

I got the $99,-- Mac dedicated mounting bracket from Inateck when it was first available:
(Also had to buy a 3.5 to 2.5 bracket adapter to mount my SSD's)

It felt way overpriced at the time. $15,-- seems a lot more reasonable for a thin piece of bent sheet metal.
