Ok so I have 2 PCs and I want to sync my 80gb iPod between them. WHat i mean is my laptop is my main library, so I want to sync the iPod to it, then to the desktop, and make it so both are up to date, then when I go back to laptop, I do it in reverse.

I want to sync ratings AND music added on either. Network is not an option, the desktop is on a secondary router.

You mean you want to merge the two libraries? Simplest way would be to copy the files from one to the other, using something like a flash drive or other movable storage media. Using an iPod to sync the two libraries isn't going to work, because (1) an iPod can sync to only one library at a time, and (2) iTunes won't let you copy music off the iPod onto a computer. While there are 3rd party programs to do that, that's only worth the hassle if the only copy of the music is on your iPod.
