iPad Pro 2 free cases: Who uses their 2018 iPad Pro naked?

I already have 2 free cases for the new iPad Pro 11” from amazon.com. See photo. Neither of them fit properly though. The new one that was sent still doesn’t align perfectly. They’re good enough to use before I find a proper case though.

I like to use my iPad naked when I’m at home on the couch. The 2 free cases I bought are very hard to get off, so I was thinking of buying the apple smart folio bc its easier to take on and off. However, I don’t like the high price and the lack of logo on it. I also don’t like the slim color selection.

Is the apple smart folio worth it or should I wait for a better third party case? Also, how many use their iPad naked? I have apple care so I guess it’s only $49 for a replacement if I drop it naked.

Try this one. They claim to have fixed their auto sleep/wake feature on the new batch. My replacement is in route. Fits perfect and is an exact replica to the apple smart folio using the magnets for attachment.

lol true but personally its much better than the folio. it has side protection, doesn't rely on the magnets and accommodates the pencil.

Having owned 4 or 5 generations of iPad, I've never used a case. I do, however, get a decal to cover the back so it doesn't get scratched and typically have the smart cover to protect the screen when traveling.

The JETech case looks pretty good.

If you want to use it “naked,” get 4 of those transparent adhesive “hemispheres” and stick them near to the 4 corners on the underside of your iPad.

This will “lift” it off of the surface it is placed on, thus protecting the camera bump.

Do you not feel it’s cold when on your lap and it touches your personal bits, I have never thought to use it naked but maybe it’s freeing in some sort of way..

+1 on getting a back skin to improve grip.

I used the leather Smart Cover also on my 10.5 but going with just a decal + AppleCare for the 11, with a felt cover when travelling.

Just received my Ztotop rose gold case from amazon.com in the mail today. Thanks to the many people who recommended it. Finally I have a case that works well! It can be removed easily so I can use my iPad naked!

I have a general rule about iPads and cases. Whenever I go out, a case always goes on my iPad. End of story. While at home, I usually still keep the case on it if I am at a table & working cause I tend to need to keep my iPad propped up. But while on the couch, or in bed, I usually keep my iPad naked. Bow-Chicka-wah-wah!
