hello,
I have a macbook pro 2.33 GHz Intel core 2 Duo with
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (2 x 1GB chips)
I'm looking at buying a 2 gig chip (preferably in the u.k)

I came accross this at

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=632576

2GB Corsair Value Select, DDR2 PC2-5400 (667), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5

for like £46.99.

cross referencing with the apple store their chip is a
Memory Module 2GB 667MHz DDR2 (PC2-5300) - 1x2GB SO-DIMM

difference being 5300 & 5400

is this the wrong chip? and if so can I get the right one (cheap) and does my mbp allow this?

thanks for any help

PC2-5300 and PC2-5400 are the same RAM, some manufacturer's just specifiy the memory speeds a little bit different. BUT

The memory that you linked to is for DESKTOP memory, not notebook memory so it won't work

thanks for the help.
does anybody know where I can get this ram cheaply in the U.K.

thanks
