I'm wanting to order a family plan from at&t and I want to have 2 iphones. On at&t's website they tell you that you can only order 1 iphone per house hold, is there anyway around this? Also, I was wanting to get to refurbished phones.

My wife and I both have iPhones on the same account, and I know several other couples that both have iPhones with no problems.

Well how did you get the second phone? The guy at the AT&T store told me that I can only order refurbs online.

Buy both of the iPhones at the Apple Store (I recommend the Apple Store) or the AT&T Store and have AT&T set up your Family Plan. I've got a total of (5) 3G iPhones on my Family Plan; I'll give you three guesses as to who pays the bill...

How much will it cost to buy the 8gb iphones at the store? I can buy a refurb from at&t's site for $99. I assume they cost $199 at the apple store? Is it possible to order 1 online and buy the other at the store? How would that work?

It'll cost you $199+tax in store for a new 8g model - with a new line of service or an upgrade btw. I'd recommend going to the AT&T store - they will set up your contract right and you won't have any hidden surprises on your bill. Set up a line in the store and then go online and set up the refurb line, if you're really desperate to buy a refurb phone (which, seriously, I would never recommend....you get what you pay for). You can buy an unlimited number in the store. No idea why they have a limit online, unless it's because they don't want people exporting them in bulk.

You will have no problem if you go to ATT. When I got mine, I went in and bought 2 of them at the same time, for me & my wife, and set them both up right there.
No problems at all. And that was back when they were hard to find, had to wait a few weeks just for them to get a new shipment in, because they were selling out so quickly.

i have a question hopefully this thread can answer. I am on a family plan right now with 1 iphone and 2 non-iphones. I want to upgrade one of the non-iphones to an iphone, do i need to add another data plan or will both phones split the $30 data plan i have right now?
