Hi, thanks in advance for any advice you might have. :)

My son's mother and I (we're not together) both purchased a new iPod Touch with ios7 for my son this year, one for each of our separate households. I like the fact that we can text/face time to keep in touch with my son when he is at his mom's house. The iPods don't travel back and forth, the one I bought him stays here and the one his mom bought him stays at her home.

I'd like to know if there is a way I can text or facetime my son and have the text show up at just ONE (1) of the iPods, i.e., when my son is staying with me I want texts/facetime requests to go only to the iPod at my home, and when he's at his mom's, I'd like my texts/facetime requests to go to the other iPod (the one at his mom's house).

I know this is a bit confusing, but I am just trying to find a way to make sure my communications get through to my son depending on which iPod he is near at a given time.

Thank you so much! :)

Hey Altemose, thanks, that makes a lot of sense! I appreciate your response.

Why not just see if you can come to an agreement where the kid has one iPod only, and travels with it back and forth. This would seem the best solution to me, unless due to parenting concerns you want to keep track of the iPod. Then the above solution would probably be best.
