Sorry if this is in the wrong area, but I though this was the best for it.
I have recently acquired two Macintosh Classic 2's that were going to be donated. They did not come with a keyboard and did not come with computer mice (Is Mice correct?) either. I have two questions about them.
1) When the computers have thick black and white bars covering the screen, does this mean that some type of error has occurred?
2) Is there any other keyboard I can use than the ADB style ones, as I do not have the original and do not want to order one online since I don't have a credit card (Too young!).

I thank anyone out there in the great internet that can help me.

I think your answer to question 1 is that the logic board/video card may be fried!

To number 2, shouldn't you be able to use any keyboard that uses the same adapter

IDK much, if any, about these classics, but these are my best guesses.

I guess the board being fried may be the case, but I just find it odd how the bars occur in different orientation on both Macintoshes. O well, I guess thats what you get for free! :)

For the second question, they stopped making these keyboards quite a while back and I don't think they sell adapters or keyboards at stores now, I think just on eBay...

If anyone else wants to help I'll appreciate it!
