I have iTunes Movies, TV Series and Music of about 1-2 TB in total on my account, but not downloaded yet.

Instead of streaming those data/files every time and relying on an sometimes spotty internet connection I'd like to to have those local (also as a backup).

My iPhone obviously has less than 1-2 TB storage space.

Question 1: Can I download my iTunes Media content to my iPhone (one by one or until iPhone capacity is reached), then move it to an external storage system (NAS, USB/Lightning hard drive) and repeat that, until I have all those Movies, Series and Songs local?

Question 2: What devices, hardware or solutions are there, any recommendations?
I know a couple of years ago there were 1-2 GB Sticks, that worked with an iOS App and the charging port.
