2 things I hate about the ipad

Dont get me wrong I love the ipad but there are 2 things that I hate about it, the first one is that I have to depend on itunes to transfer files to it. The second thing is that they didnt add a camera to it. I would love to be able to take pictures and record videos/edit them and the option to upload the to youtube.

Im just hoping they come with a hack so we can connect a usb webcam into the usb adapter that its coming out soon.

Also multitasking will be nice to have it this summer and not on fall, I hate to stop a netflix movie to check an incoming email :(

thats true, I just apologized to my ipad for what I said. Good thing about apple is that at least in a year they will add this features to the new model.
 
There are a bunch of other ways to get files on the ipad. Good Reader and File Browser to name two that will cover a wide range of locations from which you can grab files.
 
i was honestly bothered by the fact it did NOT have a camera on it when i first heard the specs, but then when i actually got it and thought about it...Do we REALLY need another device with a camera? Seriously? Its seem everything we buy these days has a camera built in.

Plus i honestly cant see holding this thing up and taking a pic of something....

If i want a camera, Ill grab my Cellphone, MP3 player, Digital Camera or Camcorder....but god please....NO MORE CAMERAS!!!! :D

My iPad and I have little lover's quarrels too. Next time buy it some chocolate or roses and you'll find the difference in attitude amazing.

Definitely. I'm not sad that it doesn't have a camera. Do i really want to hold the size of a magazine up to snap that photo or hold it at an angle for video chat? Just about everyone has a camera on something as we all have cell phones.

On the multitasking front... It does suck that it will be after the iPhone update that we get it for the iPad. But it is what it is. Just be glad it's coming.

try Goodreader. I had a bit of a learning curve, but once I figured out how to mount the pad as a wireless disk and could then transfer files by just dragging them into a folder on my pc, it was a revelation. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration, but this app is just great.

Maybe it's because I'm a camera geek and never think of using the camera on my cell phone, but a camera is the last thing I'd want on my pad. Seems like a lot of folks are interested in this feature, though...
 
I only want a camera for video chat via skype - not to take pics. I think that is what a lot of people want the camera for.

Agree with you 1000%. I own a nice 10megapixel pocket camera and a 15meg slr. The last thing I want is my iPad to take pictures for god sake.
 
Who buys a car and then bitches about the color after they get it home?

No one forced anyone to buy this device, so I don't understand why so many feel the need to complain about features they knew it didn't have when they bought it.

It is exactly what I thought it would be, and even more. I'm completely satisfied with it.

Thankfully you don't speak for the rest of us who would like to at least see a camera similar to the ones found in our macbooks and iMacs making video chat possible. (I don't know about y'all but I get warm and fuzzy inside when I think of the possibility of video chatting on my iPad) :p
 
I am still befuddled by the idea that someone would stop watching a movie to check that email that just came in! Either the OP needs to learn to relax and let the email go, or he needs to watch better movies! :D

As for the camera, I suppose a front-facing camera for Skype would be useful but a rear-facing camera for taking pictures or video.... I could not imagine a worse fom factor than the iPad for that.

I am befuttlede by a person watching a movie on it. I will make time to warm up my 50 inch Sammy.
 
More people would be satisfied if they actually researched a device before purchasing. If a camera was that important you should have waited until the next release. I don't need another camera and I'm not interested in video chats on the iPad so this feature has zero relevance to me personally.

Sorry but I find it weird to be complaining about these types of issues after the event - there was ample lead time to assess its suitability.

If it hasn't been said, goodreader, airshare, or drop box to transfer files. Camera, well there is an app that allows you to somehow use your iPhone camera with your iPad.
 
Last night as I was holding my iPad in my lap I told it I hated the fact that it didn't have a camera. My iPad cried. I felt horrible.
