My iTunes is telling me I have two updates available, but clicking on that message takes me to a screen that says no updates are currently available. How do I clear this message? It showed up after I tried to update a couple of apps on the iPhone via the App Store app on the iPhone and it failed.

Did you update any of your apps via the iPhone itself, and then dock??? I did that and it showed me updates -once I did a sync it went away.

Yea I can't count how many times I've seen this on either the iPhone itself or on iTunes. I just usually delete the app from both iTunes and the iPhone and then redownload it.

I had to delete all the apps from iTunes and re-install. Only then did it clear up.

No need to delete the apps...

Simply plug up your phone and click on it in the explorer window. Then go to file "transfer purchases from your iphone". Someone already covered it, but you probably updated the apps on your phone and itunes is now out of sync. Doing this will solve the problem.

You accurately described what I did to get to this problem, but the solution did not fix it for me. I still show two updates available, but none are actually there.

And you also tried to update from Itunes? In the lower right corner of the apps page, you can select the update button link. If you have older apps on Itunes that are no longer on your phone then you will need to update them or delete them from Itunes.

Yes, that is the link I click that actually says, "2 Updates Available," but it then takes me to a page that says all apps are up to date.
