I bought a refurbished iPhone 5 about 2 weeks ago and I've been really enjoying it. Until today, that is.
I bought the phone refurbished from T-Mobile expecting the phone not to have any sort of issues with it.
When I first bought the phone, the home button was not flush with the screen. When I rub my nail across the home button and the chassis, there's a small (not huge) "bump". My mom's iPhone 5, although much older, doesn't do this and is much more flush.
The square in the home button also looked a little crooked. Didn't complain though.
However, at work today, I noticed that if I look at my iPhone from an angle (from the side, not top to bottom) the phone has this weird white blob glare in the middle. My phone's background is pitch black, so it's really easy to see.
Also, when I open the phone screen (especially on full brightness) and swipe right to enter password, on the password prompt screen, I can still see the analog time "burned in" to the screen. If I open my phone, then close it, and re-open it, I can see the app icons "burned in" on the screen as well. This all happened suddenly.
I want to return my phone and just cough up the extra 100 dollars for a brand new iPhone 5.
But before I do, I just wanted to know if other people have experienced this problem in the past? Also, would I have to return the SIM card along with the phone? I am an existing TMobile customer.
Thanks.
