hello I've asked this question on many forums around and i still haven't had much help. I have a imac 7.1 and im using a hvx200 connecting through firewire and i cannot get the p2 card to mount on the mac it shows up in the disk utility and works fine on windows. I'm running snow leopard and many people tell me that the p2 card software is not compatible with the operating system. i have all of the p2 software installed and i cant get anything. my firewire port on the computer is running cause i run my external hd through it. any help with this is appreciated!

Are you sure you have set the camera for PC mode? It's a little tricky: When you press the mode button once, the camera switches to MCR mode (MCR lamp lights up); you need to press the mode button again -- this time holding it down for 2 or more seconds -- to switch the camera into PC mode. When you successfully do this, the PC lamp lights up. At that point, you should be able to mount the P2 card from Final Cut Pro.
