20" iMac Bugs Out

This has happened a few times to me. I Leave my computer on and when i come back later that day my screen is going crazy flashing for my regular screen to a black screensaver screen with the time in the corner but it does it really fast and gives me a headache if i dont click the mouse or a key quick. What could be causing it to get stuck between screen saver and regular screen?

i have it so it never sleeps and my screensaver is set to 20 min. The things is that it doesnt do it everytime but does it enough to be annoying.

over heat video card? or problem with connection? a friend laptop lcd screen went crazy once and it was video card related.

the thing is its when im not using and its just sitting there so the graphics card shouldnt be getting that hot. And i run my fans at ODD 1800 HDD 2200 and CPU 2200 so it never gets that hot.

how about do the same (leave it on all day) but set the screen to turn off after 30 mins. Turn off screen saver. See what happens? Because the screen saver is using video card to run all day long. I know that it shouldn't create problem in general BUT something it does. So it worth a try?

i have the same problem on my imac - happens randomly though. anyone make any progress on this?
