Yeah, well its like, idk what on it. There are like a billion specs of something, I don't know if it's dust or spit or something else. It won't come off with the included cloth. Any ideas of how to get rid of it? Wet water maybe on the cloth, I have no idea.

Are you noticing this when looking at the screen dead on from the front or is this from an angle? I occasionally notice something like what you describe on my 24" but only from extreme angles and when the ambient light in the room hits it in a certain way.

I just assumed it was an anomaly of the glass panel and since I never see it in normal usage it doesn't bother me.

Its always when the screen is black and usually when the light shines. Yeah, I guess it's not that big of a deal when you think about it.

Right, that sounds like what I'm noticing too. I see it when the screen is off and I am cleaning it. I think that's a normal effect of the glass. You shouldn't be able to see it at all with the display in normal usage. :)

Off Topic,

Thanks. And off topic, but do you know any free download or something that can convert regular DVD's to the format an iPod uses? I guess it would be quicktime. I'm looking for something that will convert my DVD's-iPod format so I can put them on my iPod for free. Any suggestions?

I use Handbrake for this;

Its the first thing that comes up when you google that term

Thanks, I just downloaded it, popped in a DVD, and it's transferring it or whatever. Do you know what I do when it's finished, I guess it takes like a couple hours.

It creates a file that can be automatically added to iTunes etc.

There's special lcd and plasma screen cleaner packs that come with a microfibre cloth and a cleaning gel. Should be available from all good electronics stores. They aren't too expensive either. Mine cost $40au two years ago and I've only used a couple of milliliters.

The thing with the iMac is that there is glass covering the actual LCD, so that LCD is cleaner is not really needed. Whatever you use to clean glass is fine with the iMac, I would just avoid getting any of it anywhere else except the glass.
