Hey guys,

I have around 20 tweaks installed. ALl of a sudden I noticed that the camera app in the lock screen was gone.

I decided to do a reset to my phone, input my apple password for find my iphone disabling. And then the phone restarted.. almost... with that circular thing at the middle rolling around.

And that was it. I waited for not 5 but 10 mins but it just wouldn't start restoring phone to factory default.

Why did this happen? How can I avoid this problem in the future?

I had to use DFU to get into it and install 7.1.2. THankfully 7.1.2 is jailbroken but assuming it wasn't, I was going to miss this community a lot!

Any idea how can I get out of this?

EDIT: while installing/uninstalling a tweak, i noticed cydia read around 4800 files. I use icleaner to delete crap files but guess that didn't help much.

those files and directories include the OS, dependencies, themes, and the tweaks you install from cydia

just be careful of what you install. make sure they are compatible with the firmware you're on and that they don't modify system files

sometimes it happens though. the incompatibility between tweaks might put you into a non-usable state. in most instances, you'll crash to safe mode and can remove the offending tweak that way

next time, you could've tried semirestore or ilexrat and see if that would've helped bring you back to a usable state
