At the same cpu, does the 24" iMac give better performance than the 20" due to its different graphics card?

For example, does the 2.16ghz 24" white iMac with nVidia GeForce 7300GT give better overall (e.g. Geekbench2) performance than the 2.16ghz 20" iMac with ATI Radeon X1600?

funny store. i had the 20" at first for about 2 days...read all about the 24" so i got all hyped about that. So i exchanged the 20" for the 24"....after having the 24 for about 5 days i realized it was exactly the same as the 20" just the 24 had a brighter screen and it was too bright for me it gave me headache, so just the other day i went back and exchanged the 24" for a new 20" and actually this one seems a lot quicker then the 24 for some reason and its a perfect size and as far as the screen goes i set it at the standard iMac setting and put it on adobe (1998) and it looks amazing. So overall....i didnt notice a thing but my 2.66GHz is running quicker then my 24" 2.8GHz

yeah um u could trun down the brightness:)

to answer the OP the better GPU will help with core animation and the interface will be a bit quicker but the place where u notice it most will be in games.

I worked on a 20 inch iMac for a year and then bought a 24 inch for home

not really much performance that difference that i found --- BUT -- after working on a 24 inch and then returning to that office to work on project -- the 24 inch is much more of a pleasure to work on

those extra 4 inch do offer some solid extra real estate

just got the 24" again i totally forgot all the settings of the brightness im stupid haha but now its all good i went through the calibration at 2.2 on the adobe (1998) its perfect now. Screen on the 20" was terrible compare to the 24"

yeah the 20" is junk. And it is not actually full HD like the 24"

it was funny when i went back to the store and they were displayed side by side 20 and the 24. I was thinking, how did i even dare to switch to the 20. if im spending this much money on a computer....might as well do it right the 1st time. its all good now though thank goodness
