So I just bought an 2005 Mac mini. . The Mac Mini has Bluetooth 512 MB of RAM 80 GB hard drive 1.42 GHz processor. Has a fresh install of OS X on the hard drive. I have it hooked up to a 32 inch Sony HDTV via a dvi to hdmi.

Plugged everything in and it fired up great internet was fast. U my question a that when I went to stream something it looked and streamed awful. Very lagy to SAy the least. Do I need more ram is what I am thinking or ships. Use a different cord. Maybe dvi t VGA
Any feed back would be great. I just love mac minis

It may look awful because that Mini is rather underpowered to be streaming much of anything. It is an older PowerPC based Mini. Because of this, there are very few things that support it. I'd suggest you request a moderator to move this thread to the PowerPC forum. The people there are rather knowledge in getting these old PowerPC based Minis to work as well as they can. To request a thread move, click on the triangular report button on your first post and ask the thread to be moved to the PowerPC subforum.

The old mini is fine for running Classic (OS9) apps or ones that don't work well under Rosetta. For all other uses, get a different device.
