Ok, I know I want a 2005fpw. It went on sale a while ago, I think 434 with a -$100 off $500 coupon making it $334. I would have loved to have gotten it, but didn't know what I was doing back then. Can anyone give advice further of just waiting for it to go on sale again? I'm currently watching slickdeals, digg, and have geti.com set to the dell monitors. Do they ever have christmas sales or anything?

Keep waiting. When it goes on sale again, buy it.

They seem to come up on slickdeals at under $400 every few weeks.

Be patient! And make sure you get one :)

I got one myself last month, and I'm over the moon with it! Absolutely stunning picture quality -- great for games, and the Picture-in-Picture with the S-Video input's great for a bit of TV watching while you work.

I've got my Mac Mini connected via DVI and my gaming PC via VGA. DVI's noticeably more gorgeous than VGA... although the VGA image is pretty outstanding anyway!

Good luck -- hope you manage to track one down!

I dont think Dell really announced those deals so I would just keep on checking the deal sites. You'll sure love it once you get it though! Keep waiting!

Agreed. I've had one for a while now , they're amazing. Although oddly , after having it for six months now, I want to buy the 24inch one...

Also just to add to this , in terms of monitors dell support has been very kind to me. I had an issue with this one (weird red scan lines showing up) and after 45 minutes with a nice man (named Elvis) they next day'd me a new one. (Apparently this monitor has a three year warranty).
