2006 Mac Mini, can't use both RAM slots.

I have an original Intel Mac Mini. It doesn't seem to be able to use both RAM slots. It's not like either slot is bad. It'll run just fine with a 1GB stick in either slot. Here's the weird part. If I stick a 1GB stick in each slot, it'll show 2GB during the first boot. At the second reboot, it'll only recognize slot 0. Slot 1 will be empty. What's going on?

Have you tried to reset the PRAM for the system with both sticks installed?

Also, are these exactly matched RAM sticks? If you have different timings then RAM can be a pain.
