I'm not sure how many hockey fans there are here but I thought I'd try and start some discussion.

So, how's your team doing in the playoff race? It's unbelievably tight in the western conference this year, there's only 2 points separating 8th and 5th place!

Wow ouch, as I'm writing this the canucks went from a 1-0 lead to being behind 2-1 in 12 seconds!!! Ouch that hurts.

So please, discuss hockey

My Sabres rolled for much of the season, but have completely fallen apart over the last 8-10 games. Not sure what the problem is, but they need to right the ship.

Red Wings all the way!!!
Actually they are doing a lot better than I expected this year. With all the player movement and rule changes I didn't know what to expect.

Avalanche!

Does this convey my enthusiasm?

I worry about our chances, but I'm keeping my hopes up.
This thread should be good for me, since I'm 8 time zones away from the action. :(

And let's not talk about that Calgary game, ok? I need to recuperate.

Hopefully the Flyers start to actually play like they want to be on the ice! They were looking pretty good at the beginning of the season. They really need a leader out there on the ice to get everyone moving! As long as the Flyers are still in then that is who I'm for but its hockey, I don't really care who is playing as long as I can watch!

What he said. They're pretty close to wrapping up the prez trophy. Let's see if they can do that and add to it Lord Stanley's cup. :D

I sure hope the canucks step things up a bit. Right now it looks like they don't give a **** if they make the playoffs nor not. They're just skating around waiting for chances. That game yesterday against Anaheim was disgusting! I'm happy I didn't pay 11 bucks to watch it.

:( Things are not looking good for my 'nucks. 6-2 and 1-0 in the last two games. Do they care about making the playoffs. I sure do, what the hell am I gonna do with all my time if the canucks aren't in the playoffs.

Sounds like someone is a Joe Thornton fan

and a Marleau and Cheechoo (moosefactory) and just Sharks in general.

Still like my bruins (now that O'conell is gone and Patrice is still there)

Thank you for the Joe Thornton gift. We here in San Jose have been enjoying watching him now for a few months. :) Actually, you got a pretty good forward in Sturm and a good young defensemen in Stuart that will thrive under Borque's schooling. Oh, and don't forget about that little gem of a prospect named Brad Boyes that the Sharks gave away for nothing to the B's.

Anyway the Sharks better get their collective heads out of you-know-where NOW. Watching them lose that game on Saturday to Phoenix was just pathetic. How can a team with that much talent lose three in a row to teams behind them in the playoff race, then go into Dallas last night and win in OT?

Frankly, while I've been a sharks ticket holder since the beginning, at this point it would almost be better to miss the playoffs rather than squeak in 8th and get demolished by Detroit in the first round. They gotta get 7th or higher. Besides, the only thing more obnoxious than a Yankee fan at an A's game is a Wings fan at a Sharks game. :D

are the caps in it this year? ;)

and no, by "it" i don't mean the cellar... hah

ovechkin is awesome and hopefully the caps will get better in the next year or two. they need another few solid vets to lead the young team.

in the meantime, looking forward to watching some playoff hockey. have to do some research as to how various teams are doing this year, as i've mostly been out of the loop.

Another banner year for the Bs and Bs Fans. /sigh At least we don't have to loose to a much weaker Habs team in the first round this year. I'm spared that humiliation. I feel like the ghost of Harry Sinden is still haunting me.. **** that asscake.

But I do live about 25 minutes from the RBC center so I'll pull for the Whale from here on out. I mean the Canes.

Thankfully O'Connell is gone now.
