Hi everybody!

I've been struggling with a pair of iMac, A1312 27" 2009 & 2010. Both were working fine, but after having disassembled them to do a good cleaning, both HD fans are working full blast.

I'm sure there's nothing broken, and also both temperature cables are connected properly

Also, I remember on my old A1311 2010 had same problem when I replaced it's 500 HDD with a 1Tb from an A1312 2010. Despite temperature cable was the same and everything was fine, again HDD Fan spins at 100%

Question is... Is there any explanation so that simply by disconnecting and reconnecting a hard drive, makes the fan spin at 100%?

I'm aware of OWC Thermal sensor kit and software like Macs Fan Control (I've been using MFC for a couple of years to keep GPU cooler) but this issue is something that puzzles me

I did PRAM and SMC reset, but didn't help

(Please excuse my english)
