My four-month old 2009 mac mini lost its sound recently. No start up chime, the audio hardware wasn't able to be detected by OS, both in snow leopard and in windows. Sent it to a local apple store on Oct 1st. Was told to be an easy fix...

Now it has been 12 days, they just replaced the audio board and it didn't fix the problem. They just ordered the whole logic board...

It looks these guys have no idea what they are dealing with judging from talking to them...

Anybody has similar problem or has experience on this issue. Please advice. Thanks in advance...

I have the same problem which I discovered after a 'clean install' yesterday and I hope you will share the outcome of your repair experience with me.
But I think if it's beyond my own ability to fix my unit, cost's more important than iTunes just now so Good Luck with your repair, VJ...jtw
