It is 204-Pin PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz type RAM. I believe it should work it will just be slightly slower than the newer Ram that comes stock in the Mini right?

As far as I have read, slower RAM will not work in computers that want faster RAM, only if you have faster RAM and use it in computers, that want slower RAM.

Fail. This is not true. As long as the memory controller can handle the RAM, there is no problem with it. In fact, the Core i series can use 1066mhz RAM. This comes direclty from Intel (see link below for an example of a Core i5 that can use both 1066 and 1333).
the 2009 ram should work.
I -------have used 1066 ram in 2011 minis it worked
I------- have used 1333 ram in 2011 minis it worked
I ------have used 1600 ram in 2011 minis it worked.
Others have used 1866 ram in 2011 minis it worked.
So if the ram is not damaged it should work. Also even though 1333 is faster then 1066 the timings for 1066 are faster then the timings for 1333 so the speed is not that different. put it in it should work. hopefully we are talking 2 sticks of 4gb total of 8gb. if you don't have 8gb ram in a 2011 mini base model or server model you are slowing the machine down.(most of us need about 5 to 6gb ram)
