I have came across some discussions about sleeves and cases for new Macbook Airs. However, I think it would be beneficial to many of us if people, who have already tested some of these and know for sure that they fit right and work well. All buying advice and links would be most helpful.

I've had the Marware case for my 13" MBA for nearly two years. Works great and has held up well to heavy travel. Recommended..

Thanks, the Marware case looks very nice and Amazon has it in stock. It reminds me of of the Brenthaven bag for my old Powerbook G4, which I got nearly 8 years ago. I have also used it with my 17 inch MBP, which has dimensions that are virtually identical to the PS G4's. If I end up with a 13 inch MBA, I almost certainly get something like that.

Has anyone tried the Incase Sleeve for the old MBA with a new one? Would be interested in buying it, but am not sure if it fits nicely on the new ones.

I have one arriving today (new air arriving tomorrow). So I will know then. But the footprint is the same for both models, its just a little thinner. So I expect it fit perfectly, as will all previous generation 13" MBA specific sleeves.

Thanks for your reply. Would be thankful if you could post your impression tomorrow. Ordered my MBA already, but haven't ordered the sleeve yet.

No problem, sleeve is here in my hand now. Lovely furry lining :D

I'll report back once my MBA comes tomorrow.

Ordered the same one for the 11.6" MBA. I already have one of their sleeves and they're truly classy.

Has anybody tried the suede sleeves ones by the same company? How do they compare to the one you posted? They're much less expensive...

Any suggestions for lightweight horizontal?

Right now the leading candidate for me is the Timbuk2 freestyle. Any other suggestions? Ideally - would like this to be ~ 1 lb

Cool, mine should arrive soon.

Sure did:D

Can confirm the Incase Macbook Air Sleeve for the 13 MBA fits the new model like a dream. Very snug and fitted, as it should be. :)

Which Incase case are you referring too? I ordered and received the Incase 13" Protective Sleeve Deluxe (H1783ZM/A) and found it nice and furry inside, to afford ample protection, and to look nice. But the 13" MBA is kinda loose inside and the sleeve is rather bulky. It seems this one was rated for both the 13" MBP and MBA.

The tiny STM case does not fit the MBA 11.6" that I have. I tried.

I got the one they recommend for the 11" Air and it is too small . Yes, it fits if you cram the Air in there. The zipper is so close to the computer that it will end up scratching the case so the X Small is a no go for me.

STM Bags: Jacket - Laptop Sleeve (11 in., 13 in., 15 in., 17 in.)
(Product 86667) Color: Black/ Green
Size: X Small
Option: 11 in.

I'm torn the incase Hardshell looks nice but if it addds bulk or weight kinda defeats the purpose of the Air to begin with.
