I recently noticed a very annoying problem with my two week old refurbed MBA. After about 10 minutes into sleep mode it restarts itself with a blue screen first then the log in screen. All applications and files that were open before it went to sleep are closed. I already called Apple Support and started a case number with them but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I've already reset the PRAM and System Management with no luck. Any suggestions?

I've had this issue before.

Make sure your Macintosh HD is selected as the 'Startup Disk' in System Preferences.

Do you have windows installed in via boot-camp? Sometimes if you boot into windows and then back into OSX it deselects the Mac OS partition as the startup disk. Then when the computer goes to sleep, it doesn't know where to store the sleep file.

I had this problem too and tried your suggestion about ensuring HD is set as the startup disk, which didn't resolve the issue

I returned my MBA to an Apple store, where I was fortunately given a brand new (not refurbished) replacement. I argued for this, since like MacJones, my MBA was also only a couple of weeks old.

Good luck!!
