Has anyone tried this?

All the cables are the same except the LVDS however i see the 2010 21.5" LVDS looks to be a crossover hence maybe making it a possibility?

They are compatible - you can swap the board from the 2010 LCD with a 2011 one and it will work fine.

Hi thanks for replying.
I'm confused with you mentioning board?

I'm asking about swapping the LVDS flex cable on the 2010 lcd so that it can fit the 2011 logic board LVDS connector socket.

Cheers ))

I'm talking about this board on the LCD:

Both the 2010 and 2011 LCDs have this type of board - with different connectors (this picture is of a 2011). You can unplug the one on your 2010 one and replace it with a 2011 board from an 2011 LCD if you have it spare. That will make it compatible to work on your machine.
