Should I upgrade to a metal GPU (MACVIDCARDS) and install Catalina thus having a dual boot with Yosemite with Parallels? I have installed and licenses for Adobe CS5, Autocad for Mac 2017 and Solidworks 2016 on SSD or just sell as is with High Sierra on a separate SSD or upgrade and ask more?

Sell with High Sierra.
To install Catalina you would need OpenCore setup, and an overpriced gpu (with current prices).

If I bought a used Mac, first thing I would do is wipe it, so don't waste your money/time.

Most people buying a 10 year old machine now usually like to tinker.
