Currently running Monterey 12.3.1 on a 2010 5,1 Mac Pro desktop. Installed it using OpenCore Legacy Patcher v0.4.4 . I did the post-install root patching as the patcher showed I needed Networking - Legacy Wireless. Both the original Apple bluetooth and Wifi card are working flawlessly.

My question is if I wanted to upgrade both cards to get Airdrop/Handoff etc., can this be done by simply reverting the root patches in the OpenCore Legacy Patcher app then install the upgraded wifi/bluetooth card kit? If not is there possibly a terminal command?

OSXWifi told me I need to make a clean Mac OS install with their kit. Was hoping there would be an easier solution.

TIA.

Looks like reverting the root patches in OpenCore Legacy Patcher only effects the wifi on my system and bluetooth remains operational.
