Hi,
Is £350 for a 2010 Mac Mini 2.4 ghz 2gb ram, 320m worth it?

It's in very good condition with no marks/scratches.

Given that the latest base model Mini is listed at £499, it doesn't sound like particularly good value.

In the end, it depends on the market. Being the last Mini to sport an on board optical drive (and the only one in the current form), it could command a premium.

Are refurbished Minis available from Apple in the UK? This doesn't sound like a great bargain to me.

As above looks very pricey to me. You need to put 4 or ideally 8gb ram in it. If you add that cost a new one looks much better than this. £200-225 seems more like it. My 2009 machine is still used every day.

EDIT: Do you know any students, they can get you an educational discount of 10%-15% probably so you can have a new machine for similar

The price of second hand Minis always looks pretty grotesque on eBay, but right now there's a two month old base model complete with (non Mac) keyboard and mouse with a buy it now price of £400, which is more like it. You really should budget for 8GB of RAM though.

There are refurbs on the Apple website for £419, which seems an even better deal.

^^

This. I'd buy a refurb. That price us too steep for a Mac without any warranty or known past history. Refurbs are a great way of saving money, mand come with full Apple warranty, no strings or catches.

Found another deal,
purchased the same model, but with 250gb SSD and 8gb ram for £400.

I think this is an ok deal.

Entirely your decision of course, but a refurb 2.5GHz 2012 @ £419, plus a 128GB SSD in addition to the stock HDD @ £50ish, plus 8GB RAM at @£60ish, is 200% the computer for less than 140% of the price.

My advice is, no, not worth it.

Better to get a new one, which is already 18 months since release.

Do they have "refurbs" where you are?
