2010 MacMini, add 2nd drive? Who done it?

Who here has replaced the optical drive in a 2010 Macmini for another Drive/SSD? Did you use the actual cable from the optical drive?

2) I happen to have a sata cable from OWC data doubler (originally intendet for 2011 MacMini). Would this cable work as well?

3) How do I properlly secure the drive inside the Mini? Is it ok to leave it hanging?

A piece of advice don't do it. If your optical drive works that mini has a lot of resale value due to the optical drive. I have modded upgraded and purchased hundreds of minis. The 2010 mini can run snow leopard natively and has a cd player this means more money.

I can sell a 2010 mini on ebay faster then a 2011. If you are running mountain lion on your 2010 mini and not snow leopard and you do not want the cd player you basically you consider selling the machine and buying a 2011 or a 2012.
