so I plan on getting a mid 2010 MacBook Pro and An older iPad for $550. I don’t know what iPad nor do I really care because I’m getting it mainly for the MacBook. The specs of the MacBook are as follows

15” display
2TB HDD
2.40 gHz intel core i5
8GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Ram
Nvidia Geforce GT 330m 256mb
Intel HD Graphics 288mb

I plan on using it for video editing and photoshop, as well as basic internet browsing. But never any of them at the same time. (But would be good to know if it could handle browsing and editing at the same time...) would this be good for me? I have a PC to do most of my editing work but when I’m on the go I’d like to have something that I can use to edit and upload to YouTube. So I was just wondering if this machine was capable of doing so without me wanting to brake the thing :) thanks!

It’s also running MacOS Sierra
10.12.4

Can't say for sure without knowing which iPad it is, but overall it's probably not a great deal, since the MBP has no SSD or Retina screen.

If you're spending $550 I feel you should look for a MacBook on it's own without the iPad bundled in, you'll get a better deal.
I'm not sure what the resale values are in the US, but I'd never consider spending that amount on a 7 year old system.

It would be capable of doing what you require though!

Um, no offense, but wrong forum.

That said, I would think you'd want a more up to date machine for video editing. Not that I do any.

Check how many battery cycles. If it's the original battery, the battery life is going to be fairly short.
