Does anyone rebuild these motherboards? Ethernet died. Wifi still works. Leaving it plugged in not powered on shows it heats up. Could use this in my camper for watching movies. Did buy a new mini with M1 since the 2010 is dying. Suggestions?

I’m not clear. Does the Mini work, but without ethernet? I wouldn’t think that paying anyone to repair the board would be anywhere close to worth the money compared to getting a fully functional one.
You could just plug in an inexpensive USB ethernet adapter if you do need ethernet, though it won’t be as fast as built in.

It has kernel panics and reboots on its own too. Have found it warm sitting off too. I unplug it now when not in use. Nice thing about the 2010 is I can remove the dvd drive and put another drive in it.

I cranked up the fans. Took it apart to insure no dust bunnies. Running fine so far but May install snow leopard and use it as a movie hub in my camper once I clean it out.

So far on testing in the house this mini is working great for movies. But still have to crank up the fans to 3500 RPMs to keep it cool. Might remove the DVD drive for more air space for cooling. May put a 2 TB drive in it to replace the DVD drive so all my movies will fit.
