What are the chances the 2011 2.3 will end support with next OS vs the 2.5 with the better graphics will carry on?

I need to update my fleet of 2009's to something newer (for my lab study etc).
I have a strong feeling the 2010 C2D will get an axe next year seeing how many machines lost support.

I have ACCESS to two C2D 2010 models with spinner drives and they are VERY slow with El Capitan.
I am not in position to upgrade them (SSD).

I need a set of computers which I can use for my Apple Cert training. Also have one as a home server

If you're looking at 2011 models only, get the one with the Radeon graphics. It can still hold its own. Anything with Intel 3000 is good for daily use, but for graphic intensive things (OpenGL stuff) the Radeon card is going to destroy 3k graphics.

I have a hunch the 2010 c2d will get the axe come next OS as well as the 2.3 2011.

I need to run the latest and greatest OS for my Apple Cert studies (lab) as well as home tinkerer server and tinkerer client.

Not much cpu demand. I finished 10.10 certs.

When I installed 10.11 machines felt sluggish. I think video cards is the weak spot. All machines have SSDs and sine have 4 some 8 ram.
