2011 base model performance cmp/wth 2009 MBP

I have a 2009 MBP C2D 2.53GHz and will be getting a base model 2011 Mini as a main work machine (Office, dictionaries, web and mail, iTunes - light load), no gaming. How much actual difference will there be in performance? I have seen the benchmarks, but they mean nothing to me.
Anyone have any actual experience using both for similar tasks?

There will be little to no difference for those light tasks. However, I would recommend an upgrade to 4GB of RAM 3rd party, or even 8GB because it's not much more, since Lion can slow down on 2GB pretty easily. Definitely don't buy that from apple though, they will rip you off.

Will be buying it here in Japan where it is a little more expensive, about $685 for the Mini and about $77 for the 8GB RAM from a good but relatively cheap 3rd party dealer. You guys in the States have it so good and you don't even know it!:appleUSA:
