Hey guys,

I'm bidding on an i7 Mac Mini with dedicated GPU and I'm wondering how hot or loud that thing gets.

It seems like a whole lot of heat for that tiny enclosure.

Do you reckon that thing can play Diablo in 720p without sounding like a rocketship going off?

At full speed, the fans are still very reasonable. It is a very smooth noise, no hum, no rattle, no chirps. If you put it under your table, it is almost unnoticeable. Your screen will probably make more noise.

It's really not so bad.... I can hear it spin up when gaming for a long stretch, but its nothing like some of the desktops I used to run!

I own one and with an SSD and spinning HD the machine runs hot. How hot? It never gets below 160 degrees fahrenheit and frequently climbs to over 200 under a medium load. That causes the fans to spin up to max and yes, it does sound like a hair dryer at those RPMs.
