2011 Imac and games

I currently have a 2.0 i7 Mac Mini server that's getting long in the tooth. I'm thinking about going with a PC but would like to stick with Macs. Because of the intergrated graphicas of the mini (Hd 3000), playing games thru bootcamp will be a dog. I have a chance to buy a mid 2011 27" iMac 2.7 I5 with 4 gb of memory and a Radeon HD 6770 card for $600. Most of the games I will be playing will be war strategy games like Panzer General or Civilization 4 as I got a PS4 to play Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and the like. Do you think that this computer will be able to handle these type of games via bootcamp or should I just get a PC? Are they easy to upgrade without having to do major surgery.
