Hello,

Since a week or 2(I have installed monterey 12.3.1 about a month ago) my iMac is acting strange. I am running open core 0.7.9 via the open core patcher.

When I turn off the iMac at night, with a normal shutdown (with or without the option to restart apps on startup). The fans are blowing at around what I think is 50-70% when I come back in the morning, with the screen completely off and the iMac not responding to a key touch(Bluetooth apple keyboard).

I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn them off, after that the iMac starts fine and works like normal but it does say that the mac has not been turned off correctly.

I have already tried a smc reset.

what might help is schedule the iMac to shut down whenever you want,
say 11PM the on again at 7AM
this can be set at energy saver.
i had to do this with a Mojave macbook air that did not completely shut down
and fan noise was mild after power button shut down.

there could be another alternative hopefully someone might solve soon.
