I came across a cheap ($25) 2011 2010 Mac mini server and I'm wondering what the best version of macOS to install on it using OCLP would be? I want to play around with it, maybe use it as a home media server or TV setup, or potentially upgrade it a bit and maybe sell it.

I haven't used OCLP too much and haven't found much about this particular model other than people noting that Metal/GPU acceleration is a problem.

Would it make more sense to stick with the last official supported version of macOS (High Sierra) for a smoother experience, assuming the few apps I want to run would work on it?

EDIT: It's actually a 2010 Mac mini server (Mac mini 4,1) - 2.66 Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM, x2 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drives.

Specs? If it has internal HDD for storage, don’t go near OCLP without upgrading storage to SSD first.
Thanks. It does have 2 HDDs for storage. I upgraded to the last officially supported version, macOS High Sierra, which seems to run fine on it (although Safari has issues due to age so I'm using Firefox).

Also I realized it's actually a 2010 Mac mini server (Mac mini 4,1) - 2.66 Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM, x2 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drives.
