Just curious for those running MacOS Sierra how the battery life is on their 2011 MacBooks Pros or Airs. I realize if you are using the existing battery the health isn't going to be as good but I'm just curious as to how many hours you are getting with the new OS.

I had to downgrade on both my 2011 15" Pro and my 2014 Air. On average, my battery life felt like it was in half.

I have not tried 10.1 or the 10.2 beta to see if it's any better

Running a 2011 MBP. Yes, battery life is worse than under El Capitan. Not down 50% but down. Currently down to around 4 hours. Lifetime peak was around 8 or 9 hours. Peak on El Capital was around 5. Battery health is around 90%. Running 10.12.1

Hope this helps.

Thanks Scratch. My wife's 2011 17" MacBook Pro use to get between 8-9 hours too on Snow Leopard but she hasn't seen those numbers since upgrading. She's running Mavericks and at best she can get 6 hours but averages between 4-5. Her battery is at 89% currently.
