2011 MacPros possiblity or stick with 2011 iMac?

Having quite a few issues with the 2011 high-end maxed out iMac with it always experiencing full hardware lock ups and random shut downs.
id like a machine thats more accessible and just as powerful but not trapped behind a huge piece of glass or lcd.
while the iMac looks perfect on paper, and when it isnt locking up or hard freezing it runs incredible.

however I'm wondering if apple will continue to use server grade processors in their MacPros or could they get away with a sandy bridge i7 desktop cpu?
heres hoping for a macpro with the same specs of the high end i7 iMac

they will be using server grade cpus as they did in the past. but need to wait a bit more for intel to release them.

if you want i7 desktop now, go the hackintosh way

I hope not. Mac Pro will be quite a bit faster than the consumer "medium" grade part the i7-2600 is. It had tremendous gains yes, but everyone needs to remember it is not the ultimate from Intel. These will be faster with even more gains. They will be based on the SB architecture but will add at least 2 more cores and possibly nix the on die GPU for the sake of stability and uselessness in a pro chip. We usually use dedicated GPU only. The extra silicon just gets in the way to overclockers.
