Hello.
So last week my MacBook Pro (Early 2011) started experiencing green flickering on black pixels all over the screen.
After 2 days of diagnostics and testing at my local Apple Store they finally found the problem to be a VST issue and replaced the Logic Board for me.
Anyway, I'm collecting it today with the new Logic board fitted. Whilst on the call to confirm collection they advised me to change my Hard Drive soon as they said it's looking like it may fail soon. (I don't know how they know this).
So I've ordered a 500+ GB SSD since the Early 2011 ones don't have solid state drives.
They said I can fit this easily myself and take it back in and they'll install the OS for free
I know a lot of people recommend this upgrade to make the machine faster anyway so I guess it was a no brainer.
My question to you is, as I'm at the point of getting new parts and upgrading the HD, is there anything else I should do while I'm at this stage?
Thank you
