I recently purchased a 2011 mini. I upgraded the drives to 240 SSD and 1TB HDD, RAM to 8GB.

The last step is to install the fan and plug it into motherboard. I have done several of these operations, some frustrating but all working fine.

As I gently but firmly pressed the fan connecter into/onto the mobo connecter the top of the connecter popped of said mobo and remained fastened to the fan connecter :(

Can this be reattached? Or am I, in technical terms, screwed? I have it sitting on a whisper fan and it works fine, looks like total crap and renders the mini with very little resale value.

There are a couple of places that do Apple logic board repairs. Call some of them for an estimate to re-attach. Laptop repair places would also be able to handle it. Some vendors you can find on eBay. Or http://www.powerbookmedic.com

Thanks Mr. saulinpa. I'll check it out. I probably could have done this 10-15 years ago but I'm old and my hands shake
