2012 Mac Mini won't talk to screen

Hi,

I've just got hold of a used mac mini but I've tried plugging it in with hdmi and display port -> hdmi but nothing is showing on the screen?

Is the mini broken?

How can I make it work on screen?

I can't even connect my keyboard either because its wireless and can't see anything on the screen to use my mouse with, I have no idea what its doing!

Any help?!

Woo, got it to work!

Only wired keyboard I had was a windows one and so I turned on voiceover somehow then navigated blind to the system preferences displays then got it to detect displays, boom. I'm in!

Now to wipe and install yosemite.
