1. Just fine. It's as fast if not faster than Yosemite was, which is impressive for a first run beta.
2. I don't *think* it's enabled on this beta... I don't really know how to check though.
3. I believe it's the same. You hold down on the green button and drag it to one side.
Is this a non retina pro?
If it is, are you running on a HDD?
How are boot up times and apps like safari?
Yes, this isn't the retina. I'm currently on an SSD. The boot up time is longer than Yosemite was, but I expect that from a beta. Safari is actually working nicer than it usually does, which is nice and the new features are nice too.

And yeah, that is my experience too. I had Yosemite taking HDD times to boot during the first beta.
How much RAM do you have in the machine?

Not a mid-2012 cMBP-specific question, but I'll ask this here because it'll get buried elsewhere: Is there a limit to how many sites you can "pin" in Safari? Also, do they really load instantly as shown in the Keynote?

I have 8GB of RAM and it's been using a decent amount (~1,2gb) less for my daily use so far.
I added 11 pins to the left and it doesn't appear to be stopping any time soon (and I can't imagine people having much more than that, it's kinda ridiculous and takes up like 2/5 the bar)

Also, I've been assuming that you are using a 13" cMBP. Is this correct?
Yes sir. I currently have 4 and it works pretty well. It takes the first letter of the address if it doesn't have a favicon.

Also, huge thing I just noticed, you can copy dictionary definitions directly from the three finger tap... you don't need to open the dictionary app to copy it again (stupidest thing of Yosemite)
You could do that in Yosemite 10.10.1-10.10.2. Then Apple decided to fix what wasn't broken, for 10.10.3.

Do you have Flash Player and/or Firefox installed on your system? If so, how's their stability and performance?
How are overall animations (ex: file > open) in apps which weren't made by Apple? I've had really choppy animations in Adobe apps on my Yosemite (despite reinstalling it several times).

Samsung 840Evo 250GB.
I do, and flash seems about just as bad as ever really.
Firefox performs roughly as bad as it ever has, maybe a bit better. (It has never been a very great browser for me, despite what others say :/). Safari is much better.
Holy ****, I just started up Photoshop 9 for the first time and it opened in like, 2 maybe 3 seconds. Way faster than usual, and mine already opened quickly because it was on an SSD.
Opening a filesystem window in third party applications does... this. But other than the minor visual discrepancy, it animated just fine if not better than Yosemite did. Very impressed to be honest.
Side note, Safari Web Content (Flash Player on Twitch.tv) has crashed a few times, but that isn't totally out of the normal (flash is ****ing awful).
Regarding Metal on systems with Intel HD Graphics 4000: On reddit, a user posted a few lines of code that check for Metal compatibility on the machine it is run on. A user further down the thread with a MacBook Air (with Intel HD Graphics 4000) says that their system is supported. Would you be willing to check this for us? Here's the thread.

I'm sure your improvement would probably be even more marked than mine. This update is super impressive for how early it is...
